Super Eagles winger Moses Simon will work under a new manager next season after Paris FC confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as the club’s new head coach, Footynaija.com reports.
The Ligue 1 side announced on Tuesday that Rosenior has signed a contract until June 2028 and will officially begin work on July 9 when the team resumes pre-season training. The 41 year old replaces Antoine Kombouaré, whose departure marks the start of a new chapter for the club.
Rosenior arrives with a growing reputation as one of English football’s top young coaches. A former defender, he enjoyed a lengthy playing career before moving into management, taking charge of Derby County, Hull City and Strasbourg. He also spent time coaching within Chelsea’s academy setup earlier in his coaching career.
Paris FC believe the Englishman is the right fit for their long-term ambitions following the club’s successful return to Ligue 1.
As revealed on the club’s website, sporting director Marco Neppe said Rosenior stood out because of his coaching philosophy and ability to improve players.
“Liam Rosenior possesses all the qualities we were looking for. He is a modern, demanding coach, renowned for his ability to develop both individual players and the team as a whole.”
Club representative Antoine Arnault also welcomed the appointment, describing Rosenior as a coach whose style matches Paris FC’s ambitions.
“I have always been impressed by his playing philosophy and what he has built with his teams. He perfectly embodies the project we want to implement to establish Paris FC permanently in Ligue 1.”
For Simon, the appointment signals the beginning of a new phase at the club. The Nigerian international joined Paris FC last summer after several impressive seasons with Nantes and played a key role as the club continues to establish itself in the French top flight.
