Former Turkish Super Lig champions Trabzonspor appear to have hit a brick wall in their pursuit of Super Eagles and Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Tolu Arokodare, Footynaija.com reports.
Trabzonspor were reported on Friday to have submitted an official proposal to sign the 25-year-old on a season-long loan ahead of the new campaign.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Arokodare is not interested in making the move to the Black Sea Storm, leaving negotiations at a standstill.

Romano also disclosed that Italian Serie A side Fiorentina have seen a transfer proposal for the Nigerian rejected by Wolves.
Although the Championship club are looking to trim their wage bill following relegation from the Premier League, they are not prepared to sanction Arokodare’s departure on terms they consider unfavourable.
The former KRC Genk striker arrived at Molineux last summer after enjoying a prolific campaign in Belgium, where he finished as the Jupiler Pro League’s top scorer with 23 goals and won the Ebony Shoe award.

However, he struggled to make a similar impact in England, registering six goals in 38 appearances across all competitions as Wolves were relegated to the Championship.
Despite that difficult campaign, Arokodare continues to attract interest across Europe. Fiorentina remain in the race for his signature despite seeing their opening offer turned down, while Trabzonspor’s hopes appear to have faded unless the striker has a change of heart.
For the time being, Arokodare’s future remains unresolved. But Wolves’ latest stance suggests any club hoping to sign the Super Eagles forward will have to meet their terms before they part ways with one of their most valuable attacking assets.
