Inter Milan women’s team have officially announced the signing of exciting Super Falcons forward Antoinette “Toni” Payne following her departure from Everton this summer, Footynaija.com reports.
Payne joins Le Nerazurre on a free transfer after leaving Everton upon the expiration of her contract last season, signing a two-year deal that will keep her in Milan until the summer of 2028.
Speaking after completing the move, the Nigeria international expressed delight at signing for such a historic club while also relishing the opportunity to test herself in an entirely new environment.

“I’m really excited to be signing for Inter. I mean there’s so much history behind the club and I’m really proud to be a part of it,” she told the club’s official website.
“It means a lot to me as I’m in a different phase of my career now and I’m just really excited to be joining such a competitive team that are striving to achieve great things.
“The Serie A is such a competitive league and I think I have a couple of qualities that I can demonstrate here and I’m really excited to do that in the upcoming seasons.”

Having sorted her future, Payne will now look to concentrate on the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament where Nigeria will be looking to book a ticket to the 2027 Women’s FIFA World Cup and successfully defend their crown.
Payne, with 48 caps for the Nigerian women’s national team, featured at the last edition and played in all six games as the Super Falcons beat hosts Morocco in the final to win a record-extending 10th title.
