Super Eagles new boy Femi Azeez is attracting interest from several Premier League sides after an impressive campaign in the EFL Championship with Millwall last season, Footynaija.com reports.
Azeez was one of Millwall’s outstanding players during the 2025/2026 season, registering 19 goal contributions (11G, 8A) in 37 Championship appearances as the Lions narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League after losing 2-0 on aggregate to Hull City in the semi-final of the promotion play-offs.
The 23-year-old’s impressive campaign earned him a place in the Championship Team of the Season, while also putting him on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs including Brighton, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Everton and Fulham.

Now, reports indicate that Sunderland, who secured qualification for next season’s UEFA Europa League by beating Chelsea 2-1 on the final day to finish seventh, are also interested in making a move for Azeez.
According to Sunderland Echo, The Black Cats have been scouting the in-form attacker in recent weeks as they plan to strengthen their front line ahead of what promises to be an even more demanding campaign in the top flight next season.
With external interest in their star man mounting, reports suggest that Millwall could be willing to sanction a sale during the summer transfer window, albeit for a club record fee.

Meanwhile, Azeez’s exploits in the EFL Championship have also earned him the recognition of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, who opted to include the young attacker in Nigeria’s contingent for the 2026 Unity Cup in London.
The former Reading star will be in contention to make his senior national team debut on Tuesday when Nigeria take on Zimbabwe in the opening semi-final of the four-nation international friendly tournament.
