Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen struck twice in the first half as Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray cruised to a 3-1 victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League, Footynaija.com reports.
It didn’t take long for Osimhen, who scored Galatasaray’s winner in their last Champions League outing against Liverpool, to make his mark on the game as he latched onto Mario Lemina’s pass before calmly slotting home inside the opening three minutes.
Osimhen went on to double his tally in astonishing fashion thirty minutes later after a careless back pass from Bodo/Glimt’s Fredrick Andre Bjorkan found him free inside the box. He displayed inredible composure to round the goalkeeper before firing into an empty net.

Gala’s third came in the second half as Yunus Akgun capitalized on yet another defensive error from Bodo/Glimt on the hour mark. The Norwegians eventually got a goal of theirs through striker Andreas Helmersen but it proved to be just a consolation.
Victor Osimhen sets a new record
Osimhen, who broke multiple records during that very successful loan spell at Galatasaray last season, added yet another impressive record to his collection after tonight’s performance at RAMS Park.
The Nigeria international’s brace makes him the first Galatasaray player to find the back of the net in seven consecutive European matches, overtaking club legend Burak Yilmaz, who managed the fear for six games straight.
Osimhen has now fired Galatasaray to consecutive wins in the Champions League, helping the Turkish giants bounce back superbly from the heavy opening day defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Galatasaray will now turn their attention to maintaining their unbeaten start to the Super Lig season. They welcome Gotzepe to RAMS Park on Sunday, October 26.
