Super Eagles and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika has reportedly caught the attention of those in charge of Premier League strugglers West Ham United ahead of the summer transfer window, Footynaija.com understands.

Onyedika has established himself as one of the most influential deep-lying midfielders in Belgium since joining Club Brugge from Danish side FC Midtjylland back in the summer of 2023.

This season, he has played a crucial role for Brugge, featuring heavily in the club’s journey to a record-extending 12th Belgian Cup triumph and contributing significantly as they continue to battle for the Pro League title in the Championship playoffs round.

Onyedika’s development in recent years coupled with his performances on the pitch has been nothing short of superb and the Nigerian is now beginning to draw attention from Europe’s top five leagues with PL side West Ham reported to be one of his many admirers.

“Another player from Club Brugge who is a potential target again with a lot of competition, is Nigerian intentional defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika,” a club insider stated on The West Ham Way Podcast.

Aside from the Hammers, Onyedika has also played himself into the radar of a number of top clubs across Europe including Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and FC Porto as per recent reports.

The player himself is thought to be eyeing a big move away from Belgium this summer with several sections of the media interpreting his recent change of sporting agencies as a statement of intent to that effect.

Despite the ongoing speculations surrounding his future, the 24-year-old midfielder remains fully focused on helping Club Brugge in their quest to retain the Pro League crown and close out the season with a domestic double.
