Victor Osimhen has reiterated his commitment to Galatasaray, dismissing speculation of a January move to the Premier League despite persistent links with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, Soccernet.football reports.

The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer, has been instrumental in Galatasaray’s dominance this season.

With 12 goals and five assists in just 15 appearances, Osimhen has been the driving force behind the club’s eight-point lead at the top of the Super Lig table.

Returning to Istanbul after the Christmas break, Osimhen was given a hero’s welcome at Galatasaray’s training facilities.

The club celebrated his 26th birthday with a special cake-cutting ceremony, during which the striker made a vow to the fans. In a video shared on the club’s social media, he declared:

“Thank you very much for this. I hope we continue the way we started the season. We have many trophies to win this season.”

Osimhen’s reaffirmation of loyalty comes amidst growing interest from England’s top clubs, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United reportedly keen to secure his services.

However, the striker appears focused on helping Galatasaray achieve their ambitious objectives, including a fourth consecutive Super Lig title and success in other competitions.

Osimhen’s performances have turned him into a fan favourite and a poster boy for the club. His impact extends beyond the pitch, as the striker recently returned to his roots in Olusosun, Nigeria, during the Christmas break to give back to his community.

With the Super Lig resuming on January 3, Galatasaray will face Goztepe the following day.

Osimhen remains a vital part of the team’s plans, and barring any unexpected developments, he looks set to stay in Istanbul until the end of the season.

For Galatasaray fans, the striker’s vow offers reassurance that their star man is fully committed to delivering more success in the months ahead.
