OGC Nice Sporting Director Roger Ricort has ruled out the possibility of Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi having a future at the Allianz Riviera beyond this summer, Footynaija.com reports.
Moffi suffered a fractured relationship with the French Ligue 1 outfit last season, refusing to train and eventually forcing a winter exit to FC Porto after he and his teammates were assaulted by disgruntled fans following a disappointing run of form.
Although his time at the Estadio do Dragao ended with a Liga Primera winners’ medal, Porto decided against signing the Nigeria international on a permanent basis.
The former Lorient forward was present when Nice resumed pre-season training on Wednesday, but Ricort’s comments have effectively confirmed that he has no place in Franck Haise’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

“He is on the list of players we want to leave. He will surely be transferred elsewhere,” Ricort said, per GFFN.
“We don’t necessarily respect the man, but we will respect the player. At the moment, he knows that he won’t be able to play for Nice anymore, either.
”I think that would show a lack of respect to our supporters, but so long as he is here, we will try and be proper with him and his agents. When he finds a club, we will shake hands and wish each other good luck.”

With just one year remaining on his current contract, Nice are now expected to accelerate efforts to secure a permanent transfer for the Super Eagles forward before the close of the summer transfer window.
Moffi will now hope to quickly find a new club where he can reignite a career that has stalled over the past year and secure regular first-team football ahead of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
