Trabzonspor have taken the lead in the race to sign Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare after submitting the first official offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, Footynaija reports.
The Turkish club has reportedly proposed a loan deal as it looks to strengthen its attack before the new season begins.
The 24-year-old has become a popular transfer target after Wolves were relegated from the Premier League. With the club preparing for life in the Championship under new coach Cesar Peixoto, several players are being linked with moves away, and Arokodare is one of them.
Trabzonspor are reportedly interested in bringing in the Nigerian as a possible replacement for fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu if he leaves the club. However, Wolves are believed to prefer selling Arokodare permanently instead of agreeing to a temporary loan.
Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk in 2025 on a long-term contract. He featured in 33 Premier League matches during his first season, although he started only 13 of those games.
Trabzonspor are not alone in the chase. Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce are also keeping a close eye on the striker. Besiktas previously explored a move worth around €15 million, while Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have also identified him as a key attacking target.
Wolves are yet to decide on Trabzonspor’s proposal. With several years left on Arokodare’s contract, the English club is in no rush to accept any offer as interest in the Nigerian forward continues to grow.
