Former Fenerbahce striker Serdar Dursun has expressed doubts over Victor Osimhen’s potential suitability for reigning La Liga champions Barcelona amid ongoing speculations surrounding the Super Eagles striker’s future at Galatasaray, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen is unsurprisingly the subject of numerous transfer speculations this summer with several top clubs across Europe’s top five leagues constantly credited with interest in the prolific Nigerian striker who enjoyed another impressive campaign at RAMS Park.
In 33 appearances across all competitions last season, the former Napoli star racked up 30 goal contributions (22G, 8A), inspiring Galatasaray to a record-extending 26th Turkish Super Lig triumph.

The season before last when the masked hitman was on loan from Napoli, he enjoyed an even more outstanding campaign, notching 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions as Galatasaray won both the Super Lig and Turkish Super Cup.
Despite this, Dursun has reservations about Osimhen’s ability to thrive at a club like Barcelona, insisting the Nigerian lacks the technical refinement required to fit into the Catalan club’s style of play.

“I don’t think Osimhen can play for Barcelona. Osimhen is a talented player, but he doesn’t have a clean technique,” Dursun said, as quoted by Fanatik.
Barcelona have a well-documented interest in Osimhen over recent years but the Spanish champions are reportedly prioritizing a move for Atletico Madrid’s versatile Argentine striker Julian Alvarez.
Other clubs reportedly interested in securing the services of the 27-year-old Nigeria international include Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Galatasaray have made no secret of their desire to keep Osimhen onboard beyond this summer as they aim to continue dominating proceedings on the domestic scenes and also mount a strong challenge in Europe.
