Victor Osimhen’s future has taken another turn, with Al Hilal still pushing to make the Nigerian striker their next major signing after their huge offer for the Galatasaray forward failed to produce a deal, Footynaija.com reports.
The Saudi Pro League side made Osimhen their main target following his outstanding season in Istanbul. He joined Galatasaray permanently from Napoli last summer after a loan spell at the club and became one of their most important players, scoring 37 goals in his first campaign.
That form has kept the 27-year-old at the centre of the transfer market again. Al Hilal have already shown that they are willing to spend heavily to get him, but their first major attempt did not convince Galatasaray to let their star striker go.
The latest report from Forza Cimbom now suggests that Al Hilal have not abandoned the pursuit. Osimhen remains their top priority, but there is another issue the Saudi club must solve before they can push the deal forward.
Al Hilal face Benzema issue before Osimhen move
As confirmed by the report, Al Hilal’s earlier offer of €130 million ended without an agreement. The club still want Osimhen, but Karim Benzema’s departure must come first before they can complete a move for the Nigerian.

That leaves the Saudi club with work to do away from the negotiating table with Galatasaray. Benzema remains an important name in Al Hilal’s attack, and his exit would open the way for the club to make Osimhen the centre of their plans.
For Galatasaray, the development offers another reason to stand firm. The Turkish champions have already rejected huge interest in Osimhen, while club president Dursun Özbek has publicly said he would not sell the striker regardless of the amount offered.
Osimhen has also shown no sign of being distracted by the speculation. He has continued to lead Galatasaray’s attack and remains one of the most sought-after Nigerian players in world football.
As it stands, Al Hilal still have a path to Osimhen, but the situation is no longer as simple as meeting Galatasaray’s asking price. They must first sort out Benzema’s future before their pursuit of the Super Eagles star can move to the next stage.
