Manchester United are preparing for another summer rethink in attack, with plans to bring in a proven goalscorer who can push Benjamin Šeško for a starting role rather than rely on him alone, Footynaija reports.
Šeško, who arrived at Old Trafford last summer in a major investment, has had a mixed introduction to English football. While his early months were slow, there has been visible progress under Michael Carrick, who has started to unlock more consistency from the Slovenian forward. Still, United believe the squad lacks an established striker who can consistently deliver goals at the highest level.
Reports from CaughtOffside claim Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen, who is also wanted by Atletico Madrid, sits at the top of United’s wishlist. The Nigeria international, missing at the 2026 World Cup, remains one of Europe’s most productive attackers, finishing another strong season with 22 goals and eight assists. His blend of strength, speed and finishing makes him a standout option, but the financial demands and competition from other elite clubs could complicate any deal.
