Spanish capital giants Real Madrid have reportedly set their sights on a potential transfer for highly sought-after Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen has continued to be at the center of transfer speculations despite only just securing a permanent move worth 75 million Euros to the Turkish Super Lig last summer, with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain all known to be admirers of the Nigerian forward.
While Galatasaray have confidently dismissed any suggestions of a possible summer exit so far, external interest in their talismanic striker continues to mount, with latest reports revealing that Real Madrid are considering a move as they look to strengthen their frontline ahead of next season.

According to Fotomac, Los Blancos see Osimhen as an ideal candidate to come into their frontline as a natural number 9 that will allow Kylian Mbappe to play in his preferred position out wide, hence, then plan to prioritize a move for the Nigeria international this summer.
The reports further state that Madrid’s hierarchy believe that Osimhen can provide the depth and physical strength that their attack has lacked this season, while his mobility up front would greatly complement Mbappe’s style and create a more balanced frontline.
However, Galatasaray’s asking price for their star asset could prove to be a major obstacle in any potential move as the Super Lig champions will reportedly be unwilling to listen to offers below the 100 million Euros benchmark.

On his part, Osimhen would be open to a switch but everything will come down to whether both clubs can find a common ground. Real aren’t discouraged by the potential transfer fee and will reportedly look to raise the funds through player sales when the summer window opens.

If Real Madrid are successful in their pursuit of Osimhen, the masked hitman would once again grace the same top flight league as his compatriot Ademola Lookman, who currently turns out for Los Blancos’ local rivals Atletico Madrid. Both players previously starred in the Italian Serie A for Napoli and Atalanta respectively.
