Femi Azeez could be in line for his Brighton debut this weekend after manager Fabian Hurzeler confirmed that the Nigerian winger is set to return to full training, Footynaija reports.
Azeez joined Brighton from Millwall on transfer deadline day after a strong 2025/26 season in the Championship. But his start at the Premier League club was delayed by a minor hamstring problem.
The 25-year-old now has a chance to put that setback behind him as Brighton prepare to face Coventry City away from home.

Hurzeler said Azeez would train with the first team on Thursday and could be considered for the match if he has no reaction to the session.
“Also regarding him, I hope he will be an option. He will definitely train today with the squad and hopefully everything is fine and then he hopefully is an option for the weekend,” Hurzeler told reporters.
A first appearance for Brighton would be an important step for Azeez, who arrived at the club after an impressive campaign at Millwall.
He scored 11 goals and provided seven assists last season, helping Millwall push for promotion while also earning recognition for his performances.
His return to training is also timely for Nigeria. Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is preparing to name his squad for a busy period that includes 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Nigeria will also face Russia in an international friendly later next month.
Azeez is yet to make his competitive debut for the Super Eagles, but his recent form has put him in contention for a place in Chelle’s plans.
The Brighton winger’s immediate target, however, is to get back on the pitch for his new club. If he completes Thursday’s training without problems, Azeez could get his first taste of Premier League football with Brighton this weekend.
That would give Chelle another reason to consider the winger as he finalises his squad for Nigeria’s upcoming matches.
