Hull City have been given the chance to sign Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi as the Premier League newcomers continue to strengthen their squad for the new season, Footynaija reports.
Moffi’s representatives are working to find him a new club after his difficult spell at French side OGC Nice, where he is no longer part of the club’s long-term plans.
A move to Hull could be exactly what the 27-year-old needs for three key reasons. First, it would give him a fresh start in the Premier League after a frustrating period in France. Moffi also struggled to make an impact during his loan spell at FC Porto, scoring just two goals and providing one assist in 15 matches before the Portuguese champions decided against signing him permanently.
Second, Hull are looking for a reliable striker to lead their attack. Owner Acun Ilıcalı and manager Sergej Jakirović are rebuilding the team after promotion and want an experienced forward who can score goals at the highest level. That could give Moffi the regular playing time he needs to rediscover his best form.
Finally, a successful season in England could boost his chances of becoming a regular starter for Nigeria again. Playing well in the Premier League would put him back in the spotlight ahead of future Super Eagles matches.
Hull are also chasing other attacking targets, including Toulouse forward Emerson and free-agent striker Bamba Dieng, while Turkish giants Beşiktaş are still interested in Moffi. Even so, the Premier League could offer the Nigerian striker the biggest opportunity to rebuild his career and prove he still belongs among Europe’s top forwards.
