Nigerian striker Gift Orban is closing in on a move to newly promoted Turkish Super Lig side Amedspor ahead of the upcoming season, Footynaija.com reports.
Reports from Turkey indicate that Amedspor have reached a verbal agreement with Hoffenheim over the striker’s proposed transfer, with the deal expected to be a season-long loan that includes an option to buy.
Amedspor will reportedly assume responsibility for Orban’s wages, while the 22-year-old is expected to arrive in Turkey on Friday to complete the remaining formalities ahead of the new season.

The move comes after Orban spent the 25/26 campaign on loan at Serie A side Hellas Verona, where he enjoyed a respectable individual season despite the club’s struggles.
The Nigerian forward registered seven goals and two assists in 28 league appearances, accounting for a significant share of Verona’s attacking output as they ultimately suffered relegation to Serie B.
Following his temporary spell in Italy, Orban returned to Hoffenheim this summer, but another move appears to be on the cards as he seeks regular playing time and a fresh opportunity to rediscover the prolific form that first brought him to prominence in European football.

For Amedspor, the proposed signing represents a major statement of intent as they prepare for life in the Turkish Super Lig after securing promotion last season. Should the move be completed, Orban will be expected to spearhead the club’s attack as they bid to establish themselves in the top flight.
While neither Hoffenheim nor Amedspor has officially confirmed the transfer, the reported agreement between the two clubs suggests an announcement could be imminent if the remaining details are finalised.
