Turkish giants Besiktas have emerged as potential suitors for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi as they step up plans to strengthen their attack ahead of the upcoming season, Footynaija.com reports.
The Black Eagles are understood to be in the market for a centre-forward, with head coach Vincenzo Italiano keen to add more firepower to his squad.
According to reports from Turkish outlet Posta, Moffi has been identified as a player capable of fitting the Italian tactician’s attacking philosophy and Besiktas are now looking to advance talks with both the Nigerian forward and his current club OGC Nice.

The reported interest comes just days after Nice Sporting Director Roger Ricort confirmed that Moffi has no future at the Allianz Riviera, revealing that the French club are actively seeking to offload the 27-year-old this summer following the breakdown in his relationship with supporters.
Moffi spent the second half of last season on loan at Portuguese giants FC Porto after falling out of favour at Nice. The former Lorient striker scored twice and registered one assist in 15 appearances across all competitions, but Porto opted against activating their option to make the move permanent, paving the way for another transfer this summer.
With Nice now willing to sanction his departure for the right offer, Besiktas believe the Nigeria international represents an experienced option capable of leading their frontline as they prepare for the new campaign.

While negotiations are yet to reach an advanced stage, the Black Sea Storm are expected to continue exploring a deal as Moffi looks to bring an end to a turbulent spell in France and revive his career elsewhere.
