10. Leandro Paredes (€110,962-per-week)

The 30-year-old midfielder was an ever-present feature for AS Roma last season but has seen his role in the Serie A side greatly diminish this season despite being one of their biggest earners. Paredes has been involved in just five league games for Giallorossi this so far, managing only one starting XI appearance. If the Argentine’s fortunes fail to improve soon, the club may be inclined to move him on and free up their wage bill.

9. Lisandro Martinez (£120,000-per-week)

The bullish Manchester United defender is well into his third season at Old Trafford and it is safe to say that signing him from Ajax two years ago is one of the very few masterstrokes that the Red Devils have managed to pull off in recent years. Martinez, who impressed in Ten Hag’s struggling team, is almost certain to be a crucial part of new boss Ruben Amorim’s setup.

8. Joaquin Correa (€124,615-per-week)

Correa is essentially a back-up striker at current Italian champions Inter Milan, with the 30-year-old failing to really hit the ground running since he joined the Nerazurri from Serie A rivals Lazio in 2021. Compatriot Lautaro Martinez is Inter’s main man, with 2023 summer acquisition Marcus Thuram also pulling his weight, nonetheless, Correa can also be occasionally relied on to put in a shift for the team and earn his dough.

7. Rodrigo de Paul (€128,269-per-week)

De Paul defends the colours of La Liga heavyweights Atletico Madrid, providing relentless energy in the middle of the park. The 30-year-old midfielder played a crucial role during his nation’s journey to World Cup glory in 2022 and is deservedly one of the most well compensated Argentines in the game.

6. Paulo Dybala (€135,385-per-week)

Many will argue that the Argentine jewel has failed to hit the absolute heights of his immense footballing potential but that is just a testament of Dybala’s massive talent as a player. The former Juventus forward now plies his trade at AS Roma where he is their biggest earner.

5. Julian Alvarez (€136,154-per-week)

Alvarez departed Manchester City for Atletico Madrid this summer in a bid to secure more game time after playing back-up to Erling Haaland for two seasons. The 24-year-old has started 9 of Atleti’s 14 La Liga games this season with 5 goal contributions to show. Certainly his undeniable talent makes him worthy of his handsome remuneration.

4. Emiliano Martinez (£150,000-per-week)

The charismatic goalkeeper who became a global sensation after his penalty heroics at the World Cup commands a hefty salary at Aston Villa. Dibu Martínez is not just a shot-stopper but also a leader on the pitch and his importance for club and country cannot be over-emphasized.

3. Alexis Mac Allister (£150,000-per-week)

After a sensational 2022 World Cup campaign and an impressive spell at Brighton, Liverpool snatched up the promising Argentine and he has proven to be a smart piece of business for the Reds ever since. Mac Allister impressed under former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and is still enjoying life at Merseyside just as much under new manager Arne Slot

2. Enzo Fernandez (£180,000-per-week)

Chelsea broke the British transfer record to secure Fernandez from Benfica, and the Argentine’s paycheck mirrors his immense talent. So far, the young Portuguese midfielder has yet to meet the expectations of the Stamford Bridge faithful but he has certainly shown plenty of promise.

1. Lautaro Martinez (€320,577-per-week)

It should come as no surprise that Inter’s talisman tops our list as the highest-paid Argentine player in Europe. The Nerazurri skipper has been in phenomenal form, spearheading their attack and guiding them to multiple successes, including a Champions League final and last season’s Sudetto triumph. His leadership, goal-scoring prowess, and work ethic make him one of the most sought-after strikers in the world.
