Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has heaped praise on teammate Erling Haaland after the Norwegian striker produced a jaw-dropping backheel finish in a dominant 5-0 victory over Sparta Prague in the Champions League, Soccernet.football reports.

Haaland, 24, amazed fans and teammates alike with his incredible athleticism, scoring twice on the night to bring his Champions League tally to 44 goals in just 42 appearances. However, it was his first goal — City’s second — that truly stole the spotlight.

Meeting a cross from Savinho, Haaland executed a martial-arts-style backheel at shoulder height, sending the ball into the ground before it bounced into the top corner of the net.

The finish was reminiscent of his famous strike against Borussia Dortmund two years ago, which earned him the Champions League goal of the season award.

“It was an amazing goal. I was speechless after he shot,” Nunes said, who also scored during the match. “When he scored against Dortmund, I was watching on TV, and to see this live was amazing.”

Phil Foden, who opened the scoring for City in the third minute, marveled at Haaland’s flexibility and power.

“If I tried to do that, I’d pull my groin,” Foden joked. “I don’t know how he did it. I think it’s just his long legs. He’s a freak, isn’t he? I’ve seen him score one similar against Borussia Dortmund.”

Manager Pep Guardiola, impressed by the acrobatic goal, substituted Haaland after his second strike of the night, denying him a potential hat-trick.

“It’s unbelievable,” Guardiola remarked. “So tall and so flexible. Very similar to the Dortmund one a few years ago. I don’t know which was more difficult, but both were incredible.”

Haaland was off the pitch by the time City were awarded a penalty, which Nunes coolly converted to complete the 5-0 rout.

I do agree with all of the ideas you have presented in your post. They are really convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for starters. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
