Former FC Porto and Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has named his time at Roma as his greatest achievement, overlooking his successes with Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid, Soccernet.football reports.

Mourinho, known as the ‘Special One’, has won major honours at clubs including Man United, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Porto.

He is the only manager to have won the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League titles.

Previously, Mourinho had surprised fans by considering Manchester United’s second-place finish in the 2017/18 Premier League season as his most important accomplishment.

Now, Mourinho says his top achievement was reaching two European finals during his tenure at Roma.

“My biggest achievement, until now? Two European finals with Roma,” Mourinho told CNN Romania before a charity match in Bucharest.

“Impossible to do it, I don’t think anybody will do it again.”

Mourinho led Roma to back-to-back European finals, winning the Europa Conference League in its first year and reaching the Europa League final the next season, where they lost to Sevilla on penalties, marking Mourinho’s first defeat in six European finals.

When asked why he did not choose winning the Champions League with Inter Milan as his top achievement, Mourinho said, “That was easier. Better players, a different club with different ambitions. More difficult was Roma.”

Mourinho, now 61, has been a top-level football manager for over 20 years. He plans to continue managing for another decade and has expressed a desire to coach the Portugal national team before retiring.
