Nigerian youngster Christian Nwachukwu is attracting interest from clubs abroad following an impressive start to the season with Dino SC, Footynaija.com reports.
The 19-year-old has continued to make progress in the Creative Championships League, with Dino SC reportedly receiving enquiries from interested clubs monitoring his development.
Nwachukwu primarily operates as a right-back but can also play as a wing-back, offering versatility and attacking threat from the right flank.
His performances have already attracted attention outside Nigeria, with several European sides reportedly considering a move for the promising defender.
According to Footy-Africa, Udinese were among the first clubs to show serious interest in Nwachukwu after spotting him at the Viareggio Tournament in Italy.
The Serie A side subsequently invited the Nigerian for trials, which he reportedly passed successfully. However, financial disagreements between the parties prevented the transfer from materialising, delaying a possible breakthrough in the youngster’s career.
Croatian side Lokomotiva Zagreb have also been linked with the defender, while other clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on his performances at Dino SC.
Nwachukwu’s ability to operate in different roles on the right side of defence could strengthen his appeal to clubs looking for young players capable of contributing both defensively and in attack.
His immediate task will be to maintain his form and continue developing with Dino SC as he hopes for the growing interest to turn into a concrete opportunity.
Udinese’s previous pursuit and the reported attention from Croatia provide potential pathways to Europe, although no agreement has been confirmed. With interested clubs reportedly still in contact with Dino SC over the defender, Nwachukwu could well be edging closer to a move abroad.
