Trabzonspor have rejected a €30 million offer from Premier League side Crystal Palace for Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu as the Turkish club look to keep the youngster on board for the upcoming Super Lig season, Footynaija.com reports.
Nwaiwu has emerged as one of the most sought-after young defenders in Turkey following his impressive rise since joining Trabzonspor, attracting significant interest from clubs across Europe.
Crystal Palace have now tested Trabzonspor’s resolve with an offer worth approximately €30 million, but the Black Sea Storm have decided that the proposal is not enough to convince them to part ways with the Nigeria international.

According to Turkish outlet Haber61, Trabzonspor’s decision is largely influenced by their ambitions for the new season, with the club determined to build a squad capable of challenging for the Turkish Super Lig title.

Crystal Palace are not the only club monitoring the Super Eagles defender, with Fulham also interested while clubs from France are understood to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
However, Trabzonspor currently have no desire to part ways with Nwaiwu and are expected to reconsider their position only if an offer arrives that is difficult to refuse.
