Former Flying Eagles striker Ahmed Abdullahi has completed a permanent move from Sunderland to Turkish Süper Lig side Eyupspor, bringing an end to his injury-hit spell with the Premier League club, Footynaija.com reports.
Eyuspor officially confirmed the move on Tuesday with an announcement video on their social media page. The Nigerian forward joins on a two-year contract that includes the option of a further year.
Abdullahi arrived at the Stadium of Light from Belgian side KAA Gent in August 2024 with high expectations, but his time on Wearside was severely disrupted by injuries. Groin surgery and subsequent fitness setbacks prevented the 22-year-old from making a single senior competitive appearance for the Black Cats.

Having represented Nigeria at youth level with the Flying Eagles, the striker will now hope a change of scenery in Turkey provides the platform to rediscover his best form and finally fulfil his immense potential.
