Premier League newcomers Coventry City are reportedly in talks to sign Super Eagles midfielder Anthony Dennis from Turkish Süper Lig side Goztepe ahead of the new season, Footynaija.com reports.
Having secured promotion to the English top flight, Coventry are keen to strengthen their squad for the coming season and according to Turkish-Football, the Sky Blues have identified Dennis as a key target, with formal negotiations between the two clubs already underway.
Should the deal go through, Dennis would join fellow Nigeria international Frank Onyeka at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Onyeka played a pivotal role in Coventry’s promotion push during a successful loan spell from Brentford last season and convinced the club to make his stay permanent following their Premier League return.
Goztepe reportedly want a €15 million fee for Dennis and are unwilling to compromise on their asking price. The Turkish outfit believe the 22-year-old’s value has risen significantly following an impressive breakout campaign.
Dennis established himself as one of the standout young midfielders in the Super Lig last season, making 31 appearances across all competitions. The Nigerian impressed with his ball-winning ability, positional awareness and composure in possession while also contributing three goals for the Izmir-based side.

His performances have attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, but Coventry appear to have moved quickest in their pursuit as they look to add further quality and depth to their midfield options.
Goztepe recently banked a sizable fee from the sale of Brazilian forward Romulo to RB Leipzig and are hoping to secure another major transfer windfall if Dennis completes a move this summer.
Reports suggest talks are progressing positively, with personal terms unlikely to present any issues. The remaining discussions are centered on payment structure and performance-related add-ons, and if an agreement is reached soon, Dennis could become the latest Nigerian to take his talents to the Premier League.
