Former Super Eagles and VfB Stuttgart striker Jonathan Akpoborie has shared his thoughts about the possibility of Victor Osimhen joining Bayern Munich from Galatasaray in the summer, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen is attracting plenty of interest from all over Europe and the Bavarians are now part of the list of the several top clubs weighing up a move amid interest in Harry Kane from the Premier League as well as La Liga.
The 27-year-old striker has prior experience in the Bundesliga, but that was way before he became one of the most prolific strikers in all of Europe.

He made 16 senior appearances for Wolfsburg over three seasons but failed to find the back of the net before moving on to Belgian Pro League side Sporting Charleroi where he began his goal-scoring exploits.
For Akpoborie, who recently appeared on the Play Zone Podcast, Osimhen will have no problems fitting in at Bayern Munich thanks to his familiarity with the culture of German football.

“He’s doing fantastically well at Galatasaray. He developed in Germany and must have learnt a little bit of German. He knows the culture from Wolfsburg so it will be very easy for him to fit in.”
At the moment, there is no concrete offer on the table from Bayern for Osimhen’s services. But the situation could develop rapidly when the summer transfer window opens at the end of the season.
Jonathan Akpoborie’s Bundesliga career

Akpoborie, currently a Lagos-based player agent, is a Nigerian legend in German football having experienced the game at virtually all levels during his playing career.
His time in the Bundesliga though, which began with a two-year stint at Hansa Rostock, is what stands out for many of his admirers. While at Hansa, he made 47 appearances and bagged 20 goals before moving to VfB Stuttgart in 1997.
Akpoborie’s sojourn at Stuttgart produced 22 goals from 58 appearances after another two-year stint. From Stuttgart he joined Wolfsburg where he struck 20 times in 39 outings.
In all, he scored 62 Bundesliga goals in 144 appearances across the three clubs and remains Nigeria’s top scorer and record appearance maker in German top flight history.
