Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has revealed his stance on a potential move away from Sevilla this winter after enjoying a standout campaign at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Footynaija.com reports.
Adams was one of Nigeria’s main actors in Morocco, forming a devastating attacking triad with Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman as the Super Eagles established themselves as the most potent attacking force in the tournament.
The 25-year-old striker directly contributed to four of Nigeria’s total tally of 14 goals in Morocco. But beyond those goal contributions, Adams’ on-field chemistry with Osimhen and Lookman made for a delightful spectacle.

With his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations culminating in a third-place finish with the Super Eagles, Adams is now set to return to his club Sevilla.
Speaking about his plans for the immediate future, the former Montpelier man reiterated his commitment to Sevilla who are currently struggling in La Liga.

“My ambition is clear, to stay with Sevilla,” Adams told Footy-Africa. “We aren’t doing well recently, and I want to help the club stay up. I will be joining my teammates in the coming days and I will give my best.”
Adams joined Sevilla from Montpelier in the 2025 winter window for a fee worth about €5.5 million. His current contract runs until 2030 and it appears that the Super Eagles star is not in any haste to jump ship.
This season, he has featured fifteen times for Sevilla, scoring three times while also providing three assists. With his performances at the AFCON, it’s safe to say that he’ll be heading back to Spain full of confidence.
The Andalusians are currently enduring a four-game losing streak across all competitions and have just one point separating them from the drop zone. Adams will be hoping his imminent return can spark a change in their fortunes.
