Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has claimed his first individual honour of the campaign after Atalanta supporters voted his stunning strike against AC Milan as the club’s Goal of the Month for October, Footynaija.com reports.
The 28-year-old forward’s dramatic equaliser, which he thundered into the roof of the net during the 35th minute of the tightly contested derby, secured an overwhelming 53% of the public vote.
His nearest challenger, Marco Brescianini, managed just 20%, whilst Dominic Vavassori came third with 19% and Francesco Gasparello trailed with 8%.

The goal was the former Leicester City player’s first strike of the season for the former Europa League champions.
Lookman has featured seven times for La Dea this term, though his contributions have been measured against the backdrop of simmering tensions at the Bergamo-based club.
Yet the award arrives at a pivotal moment in the winger’s career, as Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray has reportedly tabled an offer that could reshape his immediate future.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Istanbul giants have identified Lookman as their primary January target and have backed their interest with concrete numbers that demand serious consideration.
The proposal centres on a contract worth nearly €9 million net per season for the player, a figure that would instantly place him amongst the Turkish Super Lig’s highest earners.
For Atalanta, Galatasaray are reportedly set to put forward a transfer fee approaching €40 million, more than triple the amount the Italian side invested when securing his services three years ago.

The audacious bid comes as no surprise to those who followed events during the summer window, when Lookman’s desire to leave Bergamo created significant friction within the club. That discontent never fully dissipated, and now the Turkish route presents itself as both a financial windfall and a strategic exit.
Adding further intrigue to the potential move is the presence of Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray.
The opportunity to link up with his respected Super Eagles colleague in a fresh environment could prove the decisive factor in convincing Lookman to swap Serie A for the Super Lig.
