Ademola Lookman could soon be playing under new management at Atalanta as reports from Italy suggest Croatian coach Ivan Jurić is on the brink of being dismissed after a torrid run of results, Footynaija.com reports.
Atalanta’s 3-0 home defeat to Sassuolo at the weekend was the club’s seventh straight Serie A match without a win, and sources close to the club say it may have sealed Jurić’s fate.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on X that Atalanta’s hierarchy are “on the verge of sacking Ivan Jurić to appoint Raffaele Palladino as new head coach.”

Palladino, 41, is known for his tactical ingenuity and his ability to rejuvenate struggling sides, traits that could inject new life into an Atalanta team badly in need of confidence.
For Lookman, who marked his 100th Serie A appearance in the Sassuolo defeat, a new manager could mean a fresh start.
Despite the team’s domestic problems, the Nigerian forward has continued to perform in Europe, helping Atalanta secure two wins from their last three Champions League outings.

Tensions between Jurić and Lookman were visible last week when the pair clashed on the touchline during the 2-1 win over Marseille.
With the international break now in play, Atalanta’s leadership appears ready to make a decisive change; one that could shape both the club’s season and Lookman’s future in Bergamo.
Nigeria face Gabon in a crucial World Cup playoff on November 13 and a potential final against either Cameroon or DR Congo three days later.
Lookman is expected to play a key role in those fixtures as the Super Eagles aim to pick Africa’s sole ticket to next year’s intercontinental playoffs.
