Galatasaray have reached a full agreement with Napoli for the permanent transfer of Victor Osimhen in a €75 million deal that brings an end to one of this summer’s most compelling transfer sagas, Footynaija.com reports.

The Nigerian striker, who took Turkey by storm during a remarkable loan spell at Galatasaray last season, is set to return to Istanbul on a long-term basis after weeks of complex negotiations between the two clubs.

Sources including renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirm that the Turkish champions will pay an initial €40 million to Napoli, followed by a deferred payment of €35 million within a year.

Napoli have also smartly secured a 10% sell-on clause, ensuring they benefit from any future transfer profit involving Osimhen, who had been advised not to join Galatasaray permanently.

In another calculated move to protect their domestic interests, Napoli also included a unique clause in the contract that prevents Galatasaray from selling the striker to any Serie A side — particularly Juventus — for the next two years.

Osimhen, 26, was pivotal in Galatasaray’s domestic success last term, scoring 37 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.

His dazzling performances earned him a sweep of individual honours, including the Super Lig Golden Boot, Goal of the Season, and Player of the Season.

The former Lille forward also lit up the Turkish Cup final with a match-winning brace against Trabzonspor, sealing a dominant 3-0 victory and completing a historic domestic double for the Istanbul giants.

Despite interest from other European clubs, Osimhen made clear his desire to continue his adventure with Galatasaray, where he has become a fan favourite.

With the financial structure of the deal now agreed, the next step is for the Super Eagles forward to undergo a medical and sign personal terms, both seen as formalities.
