Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez believes Rangers can build on their recent run of results after helping the Scottish giants secure a 1-0 victory over Motherwell, Footynaija.com reports.
Ryan Naderi scored the only goal at Ibrox in the 12th minute after capitalising on a mistake from Motherwell goalkeeper Alexander Paulsen, with Rangers holding on to claim their third consecutive victory.
Fernandez played an excellent role at the heart of the Rangers defense alongside summer signing Olwethu Makhanya as Derek McInnes’ side recorded another clean sheet.

The Nigerian has faced scrutiny for some of his performances during the opening weeks of the season, but the recent improvement has given him plenty of reason for optimism.
“It was good, and we know we could have scored more, but we got the win and the clean sheet,” Fernandez told RangersTV.
“It is a positive that we created those chances. We know we have to finish them to get greater leads, but the fact that we know we are creating those chances is good.”
Rangers have now won three games in six days, keeping two clean sheets in the process, and Fernandez believes the results can provide confidence heading into their next fixtures.
The defender has also developed a promising partnership with Makhanya, with the pair growing more comfortable alongside each other.
“We know we have three wins in a row and two clean sheets in those matches, and we are going into the next few games with confidence,” he added.
“The relationship I have with Maka is very good. He has done well since coming in. We are growing as a partnership; we are keeping clean sheets, but there is more to come.”
Rangers will now turn their attention to Wednesday’s meeting with St Mirren and Fernandez will certainly be eager to see his current form at the heart of defense as well as the team’s winning run continue.
