Moses Usor delivered an impressive performance for LASK as the Super Eagles forward helped his side to a commanding 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League, Footynaija reports.
On the same night and in the same competition, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman endured contrasting nights with their respective clubs.
Usor started on the right side of LASK’s attack and made his mark with an important assist in the 19th minute. The 24-year-old sent an accurate cross into the box from a corner, allowing Kasper Jørgensen to head home the opening goal.
The Nigerian forward continued to trouble the Yaya Toure-tutored visitors with his movement and attacking intent. He attempted three shots during his time on the pitch and helped LASK establish a 3-0 lead before half-time.
However, his evening ended in the 75th minute when he was replaced by Christoph Lang after picking up a knock that required medical attention.
Osimhen fires blanks as Galatasaray beat Stuttgart
Osimhen had a busy night for Galatasaray, playing the full 90 minutes in their 2-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart.
The Super Eagles striker registered seven shots as he led the Turkish side’s attack but could not find the net. Aleksey Batrakov scored both goals to secure the points for Galatasaray.
Although Osimhen failed to add to his goal tally, his attacking involvement showed how much responsibility he carried in the final third.
Lookman struggles in Atletico Madrid defeat
Lookman had a less productive outing as Atletico Madrid lost 2-0 at home to Bayern Munich.
The Nigerian forward started on the bench and came on in the 58th minute as Diego Simeone made changes in an attempt to turn the game around.
However, Lookman struggled to make an impact against Bayern’s organised defence. He completed seven of his nine attempted passes but recorded no shots and created no clear-cut chances during his 32 minutes on the pitch.
