Super Eagles forward Yira Sor has returned to team training at Turkish club Amedspor after spending approximately six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, raising hopes of a return to action this weekend, Footynaija.com reports.
The Nigerian winger sustained the injury during Amedspor’s 2-1 victory over Trabzonspor in late August, interrupting his promising start following his move to the Turkish club.
Sor had scored once in his first three Turkish Super Lig appearances before the setback forced him to miss subsequent matches, including Nigeria’s October international fixtures against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.

However, the 26-year-old has now completed his rehabilitation and rejoined his teammates, with Turkish reports indicating that he could feature when Amedspor travel to face Konyaspor on Saturday.
Sor missed Amedspor’s last four matches while recovering from the injury, but his return offers head coach Besnik Hasi another attacking option as the club prepares for the weekend encounter.
The winger’s potential comeback would be a welcome development after an injury interrupted his early progress in Turkey. His goal against Trabzonspor had offered an encouraging glimpse of what he could bring to Amedspor before he was forced off the pitch.

Although his return to group training represents a significant step forward, the final decision on his involvement against Konyaspor will depend on his fitness and the coaching staff’s assessment.
Sor will now hope to regain match fitness and build on his early performances for Amedspor as he looks to make up for lost time following the lengthy spell out.
A return to competitive action this weekend would give the Nigerian an opportunity to resume his club campaign and put the injury setback behind him.
