Super Eagles forward Yira Sor has spoken for the first time since completing his move from Belgian side Genk to Turkish Super Lig club Amedspor, Footynaija.com reports.
Sor brought an end to his four-year association with Genk after the two clubs reached an agreement for his transfer to Amedspor, with the Nigerian signing a three-year contract.
The 26-year-old made 119 appearances for Genk across all competitions, scoring 17 goals, but gradually found his opportunities limited as competition for places increased.

He is now relishing the opportunity to test himself in a new environment and believes the Turkish Super Lig can provide the right platform for the next stage of his career.
“After spending time in Belgium, I am excited about this new challenge in a competitive league like the Turkish Super Lig,” Sor told Footy-Africa.
“I am happy that the two clubs were able to reach an agreement. For me, this is a new challenge and one that I am willing to take on.”
Sor will not be short of familiar faces during his time in Turkey, with several Super Eagles stars currently plying their trade in the country.
“There are a lot of Nigerian players in Turkey, especially our captain Wilfred Ndidi, who is with Besiktas, Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray and many others,” he added.
“It should be fun facing my fellow Nigerians in the league, and I am also happy that Gift Orban is at the club.”
Orban joined Amedspor on loan from Hoffenheim earlier this summer, meaning Sor will have a compatriot alongside him as he settles into his new surroundings.
Sor could make his Amedspor debut when they face Erzurumspor in their opening league fixture on Saturday and the Nigerian forward will definitely be eager to begin his new adventure on a positive note.
