Super Eagles striker Rafiu Durosinmi has set his sights on the Belgian Pro League title with KRC Genk despite the club’s slow start to the 2026–2027 campaign, Footynaija.com reports.
The 23-year-old Nigerian forward joined Genk in July for a club-record €10.5 million transfer fee and has made an impressive start to life in Belgium.
Durosinmi has scored five goals in six appearances this season, establishing himself as one of the league’s prolific goalscorers so far while making a strong impression at his new club.

However, Genk have collected nine points from their opening six league matches, recording two wins, three draws and one defeat.
The number of dropped points has left the Nigerian forward demanding improvement as the Limburg club targets a stronger position in the league standings.
“This is absolutely not where we want to be,” Durosinmi told Walfoot.
“I’m convinced we’ll soon be back at the top of the table. As a team, we simply need to do better. We don’t want to be in this position, and we don’t want to keep drawing games.
“We always want to play for three points because our goal is to fight for the title.”
Despite Genk’s inconsistent results, Durosinmi remains confident in the quality of the squad and believes they have what it takes to challenge the teams competing for the championship.
“I see the group we have. Everyone is ready to give their all in every training session and in every match,” he added.
“Why couldn’t we compete with the teams that are playing for the title? We are also capable of it.”
The Super Eagles striker will now turn his attention to Genk’s upcoming trip to Club Brugge, with the reigning Belgian champions providing a demanding test of the team’s ambitions.
A positive result at the Jan Breydel Stadium could provide Genk with renewed momentum as Durosinmi and his teammates look to climb the table.
