Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Victor Osimhen amid growing speculation linking the Super Eagles striker with a move to Premier League giants Arsenal, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen’s name has been heavily mentioned in connection with Arsenal in recent days following talks between the Gunners and Galatasaray over the Turkish club’s interest in Gabriel Martinelli.
However, Romano has moved to clarify the current situation, insisting there are no concrete negotiations between Arsenal and Osimhen at this stage.

“My understanding is that between Arsenal and Victor Osimhen, there is nothing really concrete. So there are no negotiations, no bids,” the Italian transfer guru said on his YouTube channel.
“I know many people started linking Osimhen with Arsenal since they had a conversation with Galatasaray over Gabriel Martinelli, but the understanding is that Arsenal are not in concrete or advanced negotiations for Victor Osimhen as of today.”
Romano added that the situation could still change before the summer transfer window closes, but revealed that Galatasaray are currently adamant about keeping their star striker at RAMS Park.

“Should this change between now and the end of the window, I will let you know, but Galatasaray absolutely guarantee that they are not entertaining any talks for Victor Osimhen.”
The Turkish champions have already demonstrated their determination to keep the Nigerian, having rejected a huge offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal earlier in the window.
Osimhen also refused to be drawn into the speculation, insisting after scoring twice in Galatasaray’s season opener that his focus remains on his football.
For now, Arsenal’s reported interest remains just that, with no active negotiations taking place between the two clubs. However, with the transfer window still open, the situation could yet change before deadline day.
