Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly reached a full agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge for the transfer of Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika, Footynaija.com reports.
The 25-year-old has been one of Frankfurt’s priority transfer targets for several seasons, and the German club now appear to have won the race for his signature after fending off late interest from the Saudi Pro League.
According to Sky Germany via Bullinews, Frankfurt and Club Brugge have settled on a transfer fee worth €9 million plus bonuses for the Nigerian midfielder. Onyedika is expected to undergo his medical examination within the next 48 hours before signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the Deutsche Bank Park until 2031.

This latest development represents a major breakthrough after weeks of negotiations between both clubs. Frankfurt had previously seen an opening bid rejected before returning with an improved offer that moved closer to Club Brugge’s valuation.
With Onyedika entering the final year of his contract and reportedly unwilling to extend his stay in Belgium, Club Brugge were under increasing pressure to cash in this summer rather than risk losing one of their key players for nothing at the end of next season.
The Nigerian has established himself as one of the Belgian side’s most consistent performers since joining from Danish outfit Midtjylland in 2022. Across four seasons with Club Brugge, he has made 183 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists while helping the club enjoy domestic success and compete regularly in Europe.
For Frankfurt, the arrival of Onyedika would represent another significant addition as the Bundesliga side continue restructuring their squad ahead of the 26/27 campaign.
Barring any last-minute complications during the medical, Onyedika is expected to complete the formalities of the transfer within the coming days before linking up with his new teammates for pre-season preparations.
