Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara has praised Victor Osimhen for his intelligence after the Super Eagles striker produced another decisive performance in their 3-2 victory over Goztepe, Footynaija.com reports.
Osimhen once again proved crucial for the Turkish champions at RAMS Park on Saturday, registering a goal and an assist as Galatasaray maintained their perfect start to the new Super Lig campaign.
The Nigerian striker played a key role in Galatasaray’s second goal, setting up Sara in the 55th minute before extending their advantage eight minutes later by confidently converting a penalty.
Sara, who benefitted from Osimhen’s assist, was particularly impressed by the understanding between the pair and revealed that he had encouraged the Nigerian to be more willing to shoot.

“I told Osimhen to shoot more. He’s a smart player. He knows where I’m going. He gave the pass. I’m so happy that I scored,” Sara told the club’s official channels after the game.

The Brazilian midfielder was speaking after a difficult contest in which Goztepe twice threatened to thwart Galatasaray. Goztepe took the lead through Novatus Miroshi in the 16th minute, but Galatasaray responded through Davinson Sanchez before Sara put the hosts ahead shortly after the interval.
Osimhen then stepped up from the penalty spot to make it 3-1, although Jandarmie Santos pulled one back for the visitors in the 65th minute to set up a tense finale.
Despite the late pressure, Galatasaray held on to secure another important victory, with Osimhen once again at the heart of their attacking threat.
The 27-year-old finished the encounter with eight attempts and five shots on target, while also creating four chances for his teammates as he continued his remarkable start to the campaign.
Osimhen has now directly contributed to seven goals in just three Super Lig appearances this season, scoring five and providing two assists.
