Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has capped off another impressive campaign for Club Brugge by winning the second Belgian Pro League title of his career, Footynaija.com reports.
Brugge clinched the title on Thursday night at the Achter De Kazerne after battling out a hard-fought 2-2 draw against KV Mechelen to move beyond the reach of their nearest rivals Union Saint-Gilloise with one game to go.
Club Brugge appeared to be cruising towards the championship after fgoals from Christos Tzolis and Nicolo Tresoldi ensured a narrow 2-1 lead until the 86th minute when Dani van den Heuvel scored an own goal late on to level the game and set up a tense finale.

This latest triumph for the Blauw-Zwart is no less than they deserve after orchestrating an incredible turnaround in the play-offs to usurp Union Saint-Gilloise, who finished top of the league after the regular season.
An incredible run of seven wins which included a comprehensive 5-0 thrashing of their closest rivals Union SG was enough to turn things around and clinch the championship for the second time in three seasons.
Onyedika once again played a crucial role at the heart of Club Brugge’s midfield, racking up 30 league appearances and earning recognition as one the best African players in the Belgian top flight following his third place finish at the Ebony Awards.

With this latest addition to his trophy cabinet, the 24-year-old midfielder now boasts four titles from his time at the Jan Breydelstadion, including two Belgian Pro League crowns, the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Super Cup.
Although Onyedika did not feature in that championship winning match on Thursday, he’ll be in contention for a starting spot when Brugge play hosts to Genk for their final game of the season on Sunday, May 24.
