Former Super Eagles forward Simon Zenke has sent some words of advice to Terem Moffi amid growing uncertainty surrounding the striker’s future ahead of next season, Footynaija.com reports.
Less than six months ago, Moffi was quite vocal about his desire to cut ties with French employers OGC Nice after becoming a target of verbal and physical assault from disgruntled fans towards the end of last year.
The Nigeria international went on to join FC Porto on loan during the January transfer window, with the Portuguese giants holding an option to make the deal permanent for about €8 million at the end of the season.

However, after struggling to hit the ground running at the Estadio do Dragao and managing a measly tally of two goals throughout his time at the club, Porto have decided not trigger their buy-option clause.
This means Moffi now faces a return to Nice where there appears to be no future for him following his antics in the aftermath of that unsavoury altercation with the club’s supporters and Zenke believes a move elsewhere would be the best solution for all parties.

“Moffi got a break when he moved to Porto, but it has not worked out the way many people expected, which is sad,” Zenke told Footy-Africa.
“I was hoping Porto would keep him, but apparently they won’t. He is still a very good player, and we saw glimpses of his quality again in Nigeria’s game against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup.
“The sharpness is coming back, and I am sure he will get another club. I will not advise him to stay at Nice because that relationship looks broken already and it will be difficult to repair. With time left on his contract, I believe they can still find a solution.
“France is a good place for him and maybe another Ligue 1 club could take a chance on him. I hope that happens.”

Moffi is currently in London with the Super Eagles where he will be expecting to play a prominent role as Eric Chelle’s men eye back-to-back Unity Cup final victories over Jamaica later this evening.
