Rangers will reportedly be open to sanctioning the departure of Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez if a suitable offer arrives for his services in the summer transfer window, Footynaija.com understands.
According to fresh reports from Football Insider, the Ibrox outfit have slapped a price tag north of £20 million on the 24-year-old, who has quickly grown into one of the club’s most dependable performers following his arrival from Peterborough United.
Fernandez endured a slow start to life in Glasgow, initially struggling for regular minutes, but has since cemented his place at the heart of the defence under manager Danny Rohl.

His impressive campaign has not gone unnoticed, with the Nigeria international recently earning a spot in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season after a string of commanding displays.
Unsurprisingly, his rapid rise has attracted attention south of the border. Several Premier League sides are said to be monitoring his situation closely, with West Ham United among the clubs credited with concrete interest, while Arsenal have also been linked.
Despite the growing admiration, Rangers are under no immediate pressure to part ways with one of their standout performers.

The Gers are understood to value Fernandez significantly higher than the modest £3 million fee they paid last summer and will only consider offers that reflect both his current importance and long-term potential.
Much could also depend on Rangers’ European ambitions. Securing Champions League football may prove pivotal in convincing Fernandez to continue his development in Scotland, while failure to do so could strengthen the resolve of interested suitors ahead of what promises to be a defining summer for the Nigerian defender.
