A chaotic and emotional night at the Stade Vélodrome delivered both late drama and a personal milestone for Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi, who made his long-awaited first appearance for Olympique de Marseille during a thrilling 3–2 victory over fierce rivals Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1, Footynaija reports.
The 21-year-old entered the match deep into stoppage time, replacing former England international Mason Greenwood as Marseille protected a dramatic lead earned only moments earlier. Though his involvement lasted just minutes, the substitution marked the end of weeks of anticipation following his winter move from Belgian side Zulte Waregem.

Nnadi had been steadily integrated into first-team training since arriving in France, with coaches emphasising patience as he adapted to the tempo and tactical demands of Ligue 1 football. His introduction came in fitting circumstances, a high-pressure derby decided by late attacking brilliance.
Marseille’s comeback was driven by veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose clinical finishing transformed the mood of the stadium.
The hosts had fallen behind inside three minutes when Corentin Tolisso struck early for Lyon, silencing the home crowd.
The contest remained tense until the second half, when Brazilian winger Igor Paixão restored parity for Marseille shortly after the break. Lyon regained control with another goal midway through the half, appearing set to claim victory before the match swung dramatically in the closing stages.

Aubameyang first equalised in the 81st minute and then completed the turnaround with a stoppage-time winner, sparking wild celebrations and sealing one of Marseille’s most memorable results of the campaign.
The win lifts Marseille into fourth place in the standings, strengthening their push for UEFA Champions League qualification, even as leaders Paris Saint-Germain remain comfortably ahead at the top.
