Galatasaray have moved to end speculation over Victor Osimhen’s future after revealing that the Nigerian forward’s contract contains no release clause, Footynaija.com reports.
This is a key detail that effectively places the Turkish champions in full control of any potential transfer negotiations.
The Istanbul giants completed one of the most talked-about transfers of the summer when they signed Osimhen permanently from Napoli for a Turkish-record fee of €75 million.

The move followed a stellar loan spell in which the 26-year-old led Galatasaray to two trophies, confirming his reputation as one of the most clinical strikers in Europe.
Top clubs including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Juventus had all shown serious interest, but Galatasaray won the race for his signature.
With Chelsea and Barcelona still in search of a long-term centre-forward solution, both sides were expected to return for the Nigerian, but the latest revelation from Istanbul could make that task much more complicated.

Galatasaray send strong message to European giants
Club president Dursun Özbek has underlined the club’s firm stance, saying Osimhen was now central to their long-term vision.
“Osimhen’s contract doesn’t include an exit clause. He’s an extremely successful player who will serve Galatasaray for many years to come,” Özbek said, as per Fotomac.
“Perhaps on the day of our transfer, there was talk that the amount was high, but today, the prevailing opinion in the football community is that the transfer fee was low and the player’s value is much higher.”

Deputy chairman Abdullah Kavukcu reinforced the message, revealing that Galatasaray had beaten higher financial offers from rival clubs.
“Everyone should buy Osimhen for €75 million! Is that even possible? The key is to create this resource, and under the leadership of our president, we did. Victor Osimhen was offered a much higher price than we were. If you search, you’ll find it! But Osimhen chose Galatasaray.”

Osimhen has since repaid that faith, breaking club records for both the fastest goal in the UEFA Champions League and scoring in seven consecutive European games. Valued at €75 million, he is officially the most valuable player in Turkish football history and, for Galatasaray, simply priceless.
