The Super Falcons will be heading into the final of the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against Morocco in high spirits after receiving some exciting news from the National Sports Commission (NSC), Footynaija.com reports.

The NSC, on Friday, confirmed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has approved the full payment of the Super Falcons’ bonuses and allowances as they prepare to battle for their tenth WAFCON title in Rabat.

Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, who made the announcement, revealed that all entitlements have been released for immediate payment to the players and their officials.

This gesture from the Nigerian government, coming just before the final, will certainly serve as a massive incentive for the Super Falcons to go all out when they square up against the Atlas Lionesses on Saturday.

The Super Falcons have tagged their quest for a record-extending tenth continental triumph “Mission X” and the mood within the group going into the final, both for the coach and his players, is a very confident one.

Head coach Justin Madugu has vowed to accomplish the mission at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat while Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe has assured Nigerians of the team’s commitment to the task at hand.

Will it be a first Women’s Africa Cup of Nations crown for the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco or a record-extending tenth triumph for the Super Falcons of Nigeria? The stage is set for a potentially nerve-wracking encounter in Rabat.
