Galatasaray’s push to make Victor Osimhen’s stay permanent has taken a dramatic turn after the Nigerian striker revealed his eye-watering wage demands, Footynaija.com reports.
Currently on loan from Napoli, Osimhen has taken Turkish football by storm, netting 28 goals in all competitions for the Istanbul giants. His performances have propelled Galatasaray into a fierce title race, and the club are desperate to secure his services beyond the summer.

The Turkish champions paid €9m for his season-long loan and have an option to make the deal permanent for €66m. However, that’s only part of the story.
According to Turkish outlet Sabah as per Fotomac, Osimhen has informed potential suitors – including Galatasaray – that he expects a salary of €15m per year should he sign a long-term contract.
That would make him the highest-paid player in the club’s history, surpassing current top earner Mauro Icardi, who pockets €10m annually (with €4m reportedly funded by club president Dursun Özbek and sponsors).
While Galatasaray are believed to be willing to stretch their financial limits to keep the 26-year-old, they face intense competition.

Premier League trio Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring the situation closely, while Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus – the latter said to be especially keen – are also in the frame.
Osimhen is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career, having scored 20 goals in the Turkish Super Lig alone – including 13 with his right foot and six headers. With four games remaining, he is closing in on his personal best of 31 goals, achieved during the 2022-23 campaign at Napoli.
With top European clubs all interested in Osimhen’s services, Galatasaray may need to break the bank to meet the Nigerian’s massive demands and convince him to remain in Istanbul.
