Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Olaoluwa Aina is set to be at the center of a transfer tug-of-war involving four Premier League teams with the likes of Newcastle United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool interested in securing the signature of the Nigerian, Footynaija.com reports.

Over the past two years, Aina has grown in leaps and bounds at the City Ground. This season he has been one of Forest’s standout performers, playing a key role in the team’s push for a UEFA Champions League spot. He has made 30 league appearances so far, contributing to three goals along the way.

His immense growth has not gone unnoticed with several reports claiming that the 28-year-old, whose current at Nottingham Forest expires this summer, is drawing attention from some of the biggest clubs within Emgland’s top-flight division.

Chelsea, where Aina developed as a footballer, reportedly want to reunite with their former youth team player. The Blues could look to leverage their previous ties with the player to facilitate a move, viewing his potential return as a valuable addition of experience to their youthful squad.

Meanwhile, Newcastle and Tottenham are also keen on the Nigeria international. Both clubs have closely monitored the Super Eagles star’s performances and are reportedly convinced of his credentials.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool have also identified Aina as a potential target for the summer transfer window. The Reds, who expect Trent Alexander-Arnold to depart Anfield at the end of the season, want to sign the Nigerian as a replacement.

While Liverpool currently have Conor Bradley on their books, Aina’s potential addition will bring a higher level of experience to that area of the pitch for the Reds. As the summer window approaches, it will be interesting to see which of these clubs can successfully land Aina’s signature.
