Valencia CF Femenino have officially announced the signing of Nigerian forward Ezekiel Motunrayo, their second Nigerian acquisition of the January transfer window, Soccernet.football reports.

The 21-year-old attacker has joined the Primera División Femenino side on a deal that runs until June 30, 2026.

Motunrayo’s arrival comes just weeks after Valencia strengthened their men’s squad by loaning in Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq from Real Sociedad.

Now, the club has turned its attention to bolstering the women’s team, which is currently battling at the bottom of the Liga F standings.

Born on May 30, 2003, Motunrayo began her career in Nigeria, rising through the ranks with Naija Ratels and Rivers Angels in the Nigerian Women’s Premier League.

Her performances at club level earned her international recognition, representing Nigeria at the U20 level during the 2024 African Games. She also received her first senior call-up in November 2023 for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cape Verde, stepping in for Christy Ucheibe, who was unavailable for the matches.

Renowned for her speed, versatility, and clinical finishing, Motunrayo can operate as both a right winger and a central striker, giving Valencia CF Femenino much-needed options in attack. Her dynamic playing style and goal-scoring ability are expected to inject fresh energy into a struggling Valencia side desperate to climb out of the relegation zone.

The Nigerian forward will aim to make an immediate impact, with a potential debut on the horizon against Deportivo Abanca on Saturday. Valencia CF Femenino are banking on Motunrayo’s abilities to turn their fortunes around as they seek to secure their top-flight status for next season.
