Gareth Southgate has highlighted Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze’s impressive performance and pointed out an area for improvement for Chelsea’s Cole Palmer following England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly on Monday night, Soccernet.football reports.

Speaking about Eze and Palmer, Southgate told Channel 4: “Very good. I thought they both played with freedom. Ebe has got lovely movement to go past people in the centre of the pitch, he has power, so really happy with that he did.
“I thought Cole a couple of times was trying to be a bit too precise, trying to get a touch to open up the shot, when maybe he could have got his shot away a bit earlier a couple of times and got a couple himself.”
Palmer’s future role under new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, who knows him from their time at Manchester City, will be crucial as the team prepares for next season. England’s final warm-up game before Euro 2024 is against Iceland on Friday.
