Carlo Ancelotti’s son Davide, 34, is reportedly in line for his first managerial role, potentially replacing a sought-after English coach, Soccernet.football understands.

Reports suggest that Davide Ancelotti is being considered by French club Stade Reims. He has been an assistant manager at Real Madrid since 2021, working under his father, Carlo Ancelotti.

Davide has played a key role in Real Madrid’s recent successes, including winning La Liga this season and possibly a second Champions League title this weekend.

Having earned his UEFA Pro License last year, Davide is seen as a strong candidate to succeed Will Still at Reims, according to RMC Sport. The Ligue 1 club plans to discuss the role with Davide after the Champions League final.

Reims had also considered Luka Elsner of Le Havre to replace Still, who left the club earlier this month. Still has ambitions to manage in the Premier League and was linked with Sunderland in December.

At 34, Davide has significant coaching experience. He has previously worked with his father at Bayern Munich, Everton, and Napoli, often leading training sessions.

Known as Real Madrid’s “bad cop,” he was praised for his tactical plans, including a strategy against Chelsea in last season’s Champions League.

Davide Ancelotti began his career as a professional footballer at AC Milan before moving to Borgomanero and retiring in 2009 to pursue coaching.

He gained a degree in sports science at 22 and started as a fitness coach at Paris Saint-Germain in 2012.

His coaching journey includes roles at Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Everton, before returning to Real Madrid. He received his UEFA Pro License in July 2023.
