Victor Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray crushed Erzurumspor FK 4-0 on Friday to earn their first win of the 2026-27 Turkish Süper Lig season, Footynaija reports.
The Nigerian striker struck in the 45th and 79th minutes at Kazım Karabekir Stadium as the defending champions turned a difficult opening-week draw into a dominant away victory. Sofascore gave Osimhen a 9.3 rating for his performance.
Galatasaray needed only 12 minutes to take control. Roland Sallai opened the scoring before Yunus Akgün doubled the lead eight minutes later. Osimhen then made it 3-0 just before half-time, leaving Erzurumspor with a huge task after the break.
Osimhen completed his brace in the 79th minute to finish a ruthless night for Okan Buruk’s team. The 27-year-old striker now has four goals in his first two Süper Lig matches this season, after also scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 2-2 draw with Çorum FK on Aug. 14.
The result was a sharp response from the Turkish champions. Galatasaray dropped two points against Çorum despite dominating that match and producing 38 shots. Osimhen scored both goals that night, including a late equaliser.
Erzurumspor had little answer after returning to the top flight. They had already lost 3-0 to Amedspor in their opening game, making Friday’s defeat their second straight loss without a goal.
Galatasaray’s four-goal attack also delivered their first clean sheet of the league campaign. After the shaky start against Çorum, Buruk’s side now have three points and a clear attacking leader in Osimhen.
