Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk have reached an agreement with Italian club Pisa for the signing of Super Eagles striker Rafiu Durosinmi in a deal worth €10.5 million, Footynaija.com reports.
As revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio, the agreement also includes performance-related bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause negotiated by Pisa. The transfer is set to become Genk’s most expensive signing ever, while it also represents the highest transfer fee the Italian club have received for a player.
Durosinmi’s imminent departure comes just six months after he joined Pisa from Czech outfit Viktoria Plzen.

The 23-year-old arrived in January with high expectations, but the Nerazzurri endured a disappointing second half of the campaign, finishing bottom of Serie A and suffering relegation to the second tier. That drop reportedly activated an exit option that paved the way for his return to top-flight football elsewhere.
Although the Nigeria international managed just one goal and one assist in 12 league appearances in Italy, his stock remained high thanks to an impressive spell in the Czech Republic, where he scored 31 goals in 71 appearances for Viktoria Plzen before earning his move to Serie A.
Genk’s pursuit of Durosinmi reflects the Belgian club’s enduring faith in Nigerian strikers. The Smurfs have previously helped launch the careers of Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare, both of whom flourished at the Cegeka Arena before securing high-profile moves abroad.
The Belgian outfit will now hope Durosinmi can follow in those footsteps as they strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
For the Super Eagles forward, the move also offers the chance to put a difficult spell in Italy behind him and rediscover the goalscoring form that first established him as one of Nigeria’s most promising young strikers.
